Here are three programmes you need to be watching this week:
1) Nadiya’s British Food Adventure, BBC Two, Monday at 8.30pm
There can never be too many cooking shows in our opinion and we are really excited for this one from our favourite 'Great British Bake Off' winner, Nadiya Hussain. Nadiya won the bake off back in 2015. People fell in love with her because she was she, unassuming and had only recently taught herself to cook and back through YouTube videos! She has had a couple of baking shows before, but is back tonight with 'Nadiya’s British Food Adventure '. She's going to travel the length of Britain from Scotland down to Devon sampling local produce and rustling up her own recipes. We're excited. Also she's going to be back hosting the BBC's replacement for GBBO, 'The Big Family Cooking Showdown' with Zoe Ball later this year.
2) Is Love Racist? The Dating Game, Channel 4, at 10pm
This one is going to be really interesting for those of us mad into our dating apps. Sociologist Emma Dabiri is looking into the question of whether apps are making people more racist? She's exploring the argument that people are treating race like a personal preference on apps- like someone's height or hair colour. So ten singletons were recruited to take part in some research, we'll find out tonight how they got on.
3) Ozark- Netflix, from Friday July 21st
We are very excited for this new Netflix series. It stars Jason Bateman and Laura Linney. By all accounts the Byrdes are a normal family- except Jason Bateman's character Marty works a financial advisor for the second biggest drug cartel in Mexico. Things don't go to plan and the family has to go on the run. Think of Narcos meets Fargo.
