The Herald have issued an official apology on their website this afternoon following a mix up in this morning's print. The paper featured a photo of grime artist Stormzy in an article about newly signed Manchester United player Romelu Lukaku.
The statement reads, "Hands up, we badly got it wrong. Earlier, we made an error with a picture of Romelu Lukaku that wasn't him. It was Stormzy. To be honest, we are totally embarrassed and want to say sorry to all involved and our readers for the error. We will keep our eye on the ball in future" and was signed off by the paper's editor Alan Steenson.
The story has gone viral being picked up by LADBible, The Evening Standard and a number of other British and Irish publications. Stormzy tweeted this afternoon to say that he doesn't find the incident funny.
I don't find none of this funny btw 🤷ðŸ¿â™‚ï¸don't wanna sound like the party pooper who missed the joke...
