It was on this day twenty years ago that the Battle Of Hogwarts took place.
On May 2nd, 1998 a battle took place across the grounds of the school and castle which brought an end to the Second Wizarding War.
Many lives were lost on that fateful day when Dumbledore's Army and The Order of the Phoenix claimed victory.
Some of those who lost their lives include Fred Weasley, Severus Snape and Nymphadora Tonks.
It of course, saw the final battle of Lord Voldemort and Harry Potter which saw Tom Riddle killed once and for all.
Author JK Rowling has taken time out to remember the remarkable day which has lived long in the memory of fans since.
She's also paid tribute to someone else who you might not expect:
It's that anniversary again. This year, I apologise for killing someone who didn't die during the #BattleofHogwarts, but who laid down his life to save the people who'd win it. I refer, of course, to Dobby the house elf.
