Gayle talks ABCDEFU inspiration
SPIN's Sarina Bellissimo caught up with Gayle this week, following the global success of her hit ABCDEFU.
Among other things, the artist talked about the relationship that inspired her to write the song.
In the chorus, Gayle targets her ex and his family, but insists she has nothing against his dog:
"F**k you and your friends that I'll never see again/ Everybody but your dog, you can all f**k off."
Sarina asked her about this line, and the singer revealed the dog's name was Kayla.

"I've never said the dogs name in an interview," Gayle realised.
"At the end of the day, am I 100% telling this person to like f-off and their whole entire family and everything to do with them? Yes."
"But I don't want the internet to do that to him personally," she said.
