Justin Bieber opens up
Justin Bieber's brand new YouTube documentary, Justin Bieber: Next Chapter, came out over the weekend.
In the video, he opens up about how he's struggled with suicidal thoughts in the past.
The singer spoke about his brand new song Lonely and the impact it had on him.
The emotional track is all about the struggles he faced growing up in the limelight.
It's revealed in the documentary that Justin broke down crying in the recording booth while making the song.
"...I was really, really suicidal"
The artist told the camera, "There was times where I was really, really suicidal."
"Like really like, man, is this pain ever going to go away?"
"It was so consistent, the pain was so consistent."
Justin continued, "I was just suffering, right? So, I’m just like, man, I would rather not feel this than feel this."
His manager Scooter told him that if he could do it all over again, he would have had Justin in therapy from day one.
"Having someone separate from all of us to talk to and express and... I was 25," Scooter said.

Justin encouraged anybody who finds themselves struggling with their mental health to open up.
He said, "I just would encourage people, like, 'Hey, if you’re feeling lonely, talk about it. Say it out loud.'"
"There’s a freedom in that."
"I could have avoided a lot of pain," Justin added.
