It's not all about the football, you know.
To coincide with the hype surrounding his upcoming album, Justin Timberlake was already announced as the headline act for the Super Bowl half-time show. This was the third half-time Super Bowl performance of his career.
All the speculation was about who would join him on stage, with rumours of a reunion with NSYNC, or a repeat of that infamous show with Janet Jackson.
However, neither materialised, but he did perform alongside a projected Prince.
He belted out all of his classics like Rock Your Body, Senorita, Sexyback and the iconic Cry Me A River.
