Willie Garson from Sex & The City has died aged 57.
He was best known for playing talent agent Stanford Blatch in the series.
His character was Carrie Bradshaw’s close friend and confidante.
Across six seasons, he featured in twenty-seven episodes and two Sex & The City movies.
He was returning to the role during filming the new SATC spin-off And Just Like That.
The cause of his death hasn’t been confirmed yet but according to TMZ, sources close to the star say he had been battling cancer.
Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda on the show, posted a tribute on Instagram saying it is 'so deeply, deeply sad we have lost Willie Garson.'
'We all loved him and adored working with him.'
'He was endlessly funny on-screen and in real life. He was a source of light, friendship and show business lore.'
