He told Men's Health that he actually took a bad fall and hurt his chin, and that's why his face looked so swollen at one point.

The 17 Again actor explained he slipped in his socks while running through his house.
He ended up whacking his chin off the granite corner of a fountain and knocking himself unconsciousness.
The 34-year-old said he woke up with his chin bone hanging off his face.

Zac told Men's Health that the masseter muscles, which are used for chewing, work with the other muscles in your face, 'like a symphony.'
The publication explained, 'The muscles on the inside of his face and jaw had to compensate.'
He had been going to physical therapy to alleviate the issue, but took some time off - this didn't help.

The actor said as a result, 'The masseters just grew. They just got really, really big.'
It turns out he had no idea people were speculating he'd had work done until his mother called to ask herself.
Zac steers clear of social media for anything other than promoting his projects.
He told Men's Health, 'If I valued what other people thought of me to the extent that they may think I do, I definitely wouldn’t be able to do this work.'
