High School Musical alum Zac Efron put rumours of plastic surgery to bed recently by explaining he actually took a bad fall that shattered his jaw.
In a new interview, he revealed the accident almost killed him.

Earlier this month, Zac told Men's Health he slipped in his socks while running through his house.
He ended up whacking his chin off the granite corner of a fountain and knocking himself unconsciousness.
The 34-year-old said he woke up with his chin bone hanging off his face.

Zac shared that the masseter muscles, which are used for chewing, work with the other muscles in your face, 'like a symphony.'
The publication explained, 'The muscles on the inside of his face and jaw had to compensate.'
He had been going to physical therapy to alleviate the issue, but took some time off, and they got really big: 'The masseters just grew. They just got really, really big.'

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Zac said he didn't feel the need to address the plastic surgery rumours.
"I don't really read the internet, I don't really give a f**k. It was just if that's the direction that it was going, maybe it's time to..."
The director of Zac's new movie The Greatest Beer Run Ever, Peter Farrelly, who was with him during the interview, interrupted to say, "If he was going to get plastic surgery, he wouldn't get that!"
Zac laughed before saying, "No it was funny. It sucked, I almost died but we're good."
