Dublin’s Docklands will soon welcome something the world has never seen before, with the global premiere of Dream Point, an ambitious, visually breathtaking and completely original immersive experience for all ages, opening on April 28th at The Point Square.
Spanning 21,000 square feet, Dream Point is Ireland’s first purpose-built immersive, multi-room visual playground. A €3 million project, several years in the making, it is designed to ignite imagination and wonder among families, fun-lovers and content creators alike.
Inside, visitors can explore a sequence of interactive spaces, each uniquely designed to spark delight and surprise. From Ireland’s largest ball pit, filled with over 250,000 pearl-toned balls, to light-reactive inflatables, animated projection rooms and glowing corridors, Dream Point is a world where creativity, play and awe come together.
Whether you are aged one or 101, Dream Point offers a dream-like journey where every room tells its own story, and every corner is built for joy and discovery.
Highlights include:
-
The Ball Pit Room, featuring 250,000 pearl-coloured balls beneath floating clouds and surrounded by lifeguard chairs for a surreal poolside atmosphere.
-
The Balloon Room, where hundreds of large latex balloons drift and swirl on air currents. A walk-around path ensures comfort for visitors with latex allergies.
-
The Projection Room, showcasing the European premiere of an interactive wall by Taiwanese artists Wei Wen and Damon. Children can even submit their own drawings and see them come to life around them.
-
The Inflatable Room, filled with 10-foot inflatables that light up and change colour when touched, offering a tactile experience that is part playground, part art installation.
-
The Glow Corridor, where visitors are given torches to draw on the walls with light, creating magical, shareable moments.
-
The Dream Café, a stylish, family-friendly space at the end of the experience, complete with a soft play area for younger children.
The Dream Point concept was created by Irish creatives and architects in collaboration with Dan and John Gleeson, the team behind Theatre of Light, and previous exhibitions such as The Van Gogh Experience, FRIENDS™ and LEGO Bricktionary.
Dan Gleeson, co-founder of Dream Point, said:
“This is more than just a new attraction, it is a whole new category of experience. We have travelled the world visiting the most innovative immersive exhibitions, and Dream Point is our own dream brought to life. Every room is designed to spark creativity and connection, and we are so proud that the global premiere is happening here in Dublin.”
Reflecting on their previous projects, the Gleesons say Dream Point was shaped by what they learned along the way.
“We learned a lot from our previous exhibitions,” Dan continued. “This time, we wanted to create something original, permanent and purpose-built. It was never meant to be just for children, we wanted adults to say ‘wow’ too.”
While Dream Point is designed with children and families in mind, its bold design and highly visual features are expected to appeal strongly to young adults, couples and content creators looking for standout experiences.
