Electric Picnic want to cut back on waste
The annual Electric Picnic festival kicks off in Stradbally on Friday.
Organizers are introducing new schemes to help them reduce the amount of single use plastic at the event.

Over 57,000 people are expected to make their way to the music and arts festival this weekend and they're urging those attending to keep the environment in mind.
If you're heading down make sure to bring your reusable water bottles and avail of their cup and bottle deposit system.
If you're out tent shopping this weekend, please keep in mind that single use tents are a huge source of waste. They're also urging people not to leave their tents behind
Electric Picnic also shared advice on their website about buying a good quality tent that'll last a few years so there's no need to leave it behind and you don't have to fork out for another one next year.

The star studded line up has been announced and it's set to be a busy weekend for music lovers.
The Strokes, Florence and the Machine and Hozier are set to headline.
