The weekend has rolled around again and to save you the bother James Kavanagh's put together his list of the five best things to do in Dublin this weekend! 

1) Spike Cello Festival 2017, Feb 10th - 12th all over Dublin 

The Spike Cello Festival (this is the first one!) is gonna be a three-day programme of cello-related events happening 10th to 12th February, in various venues across Dublin. The festival celebrates the diverse use of the cello across non-classical music styles and genres from Jazz, Traditional, Folk, Pop and Rock, to cello yoga and the “cello-clowning” of US cello performance artist, Rushad Eggleston. 2) The Typographic Dante, Feb 10th - April @ The National Print Museum 

Sounds heavy, but also sounds v interesting for anyone interested in print or poster design! "The Divine Comedy is a poem by Dante Alighieri. Written between 1308 and 1320, it describes Dante’s journey through Hell, Purgatory and Paradise, and, at a deeper level, represents the souls journey towards God. The Typographic Dante is a series of typographic illustrations created as a response to this unfolding narrative." 3) Film Fatale Vintage Party, Friday @ Number 22

To celebrate six years of decadent glamour, Film Fatale is hosting a vintage birthday extravaganza in Number 22, a new late-night supper club and theatre located on the site of the Crystal Ballroom. 4) HackYourWayDay Hackathon, Friday @ NDRC

The theme of this hackathon is Eircodes. They aim to explore the benefits of Government data sets and the use of Eircodes further. "We are hosting a 1-day hack event inviting creative minds, technologists, designers, policy experts and innovators to come together and find ways to make it easier for people to locate and interact with government services. 5) Disco Brunch, Sunday @ The Drury Buildings  

Proceedings will start at 2pm where you'll get a welcome cocktail and can decide what you want to eat from the Drury Buildings menu. Eating and digesting until 4pm.
