Lady Gaga Teams Up With Global Citizen To Bring Us 'One World Together At Home'

Lady Gaga has teamed up with Global Citizen and the World Health Organisation to bring us One World Together At Home.

They're describing it as a, 'historic event,' in support of everyone on the frontlines during the coronavirus pandemic.

I'll feature appearances from some of the worlds biggest artists!

Global Citizen announced the news on their official Instagram account last night.

Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Finneas, Stevie Wonder, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and loads more will star on the show.

While Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert will team up to host the event.

The special event will also feature stories from the world's healthcare heroes battling the spread of the coronavirus.

One World Together At Home will broadcast on RTE, April 19th.

It can also be streamed across multiple platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Apple, YouTube and more.

Hugh Evans, Co-Founder and CEO of Global Citizen, said, 'As we honor and support the heroic efforts of community health workers, ‘One World: Together At Home,’ aims to serve as a source of unity and encouragement in the global fight to end COVID-19.'

'Through music, entertainment and impact, the global live-cast will celebrate those who risk their own health to safeguard everyone else’s.'

Meanwhile, Teneo Chairman and CEO Declan Kelly is to serve as an Executive Producer for the event.

Speaking about the show, the Tipperary native said, 'As the world comes together to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, Teneo is very proud to be involved in supporting and helping to organise this incredible initiative along with so many other great partners.'

Lady Gaga explains further

Lady Gaga explained the concept in more detail during a chat on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

She stressed, "This show is not going to be a fundraiser."

"We have raised the money ahead of time."

Gaga explained further, "We're gonna continue fundraising before the show."

"So when you guys introduce the whole special, you can tell everyone to put your wallets way, put your money away, we don't need it because we raised the money already."

"I'm very excited for them to just watch and enjoy the show."
