Longitude 2019
This year's Longitude festival is just around the corner and we are buzzing for it.
It'll see the likes of Cardi B, Stormzy and A$AP Rocky take to its stages.

Tickets
Be careful when buying tickets at this stage. Some are being sold at unfair prices, while others are scams.
Make sure you're only buying from credible sources.

There is no re-admission on a day ticket. Once on site you cannot leave and re-enter.
Wristbands are only valid for entry on the days specified and will not be replaced if removed before the end of the last day of the event.
Security and bag checks
We advise you pack lightly because there are no cloakroom or storage facilities on site.
Large handbags and backpacks are not allowed and any small bags will be searched on entry.
If you do bring a bag, it must be A4 size and no bigger.
Searching is a condition of entry so if an item is considered dangerous or disruptive, it will be confiscated.
Make sure to allow yourself plenty of time to get into the event, for festival entry procedures, ticket checks and searches.
Prohibited items
You're not allowed bring the following items:
- Alcohol
- Glass
- Aerosols
- Spray cans
- Illegal/unidentifiable substances
- Inflatable and fold up furniture
- Umbrellas
- Flares
- Metal reusable bottles
- Professional cameras
- Cameras with a detachable lens
- Video cameras and audio recording devices
- iPads or GoPros

Weather
Friday:
According to Met Eireann, there will be a bright start to Friday in Dublin.
There will be some sunny spells for a time but it will get cloudy with possible showers.
Top temperatures of 19 to 21 degrees with moderate west winds veering northwesterly as the day progresses.
Saturday:
Met Eireann say Saturday will start off cloudy in places, with some patchy drizzle, which will soon clear.
Overall, it'll be a bright day, with a mix of cloudy periods and sunny spells.
Top temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.
Sunday:
Sunday will be mainly dry with a fair amount of cloud, but some sunny spells too.
Top temperatures of 19 to 21 degrees with light to moderate variable winds.
Transport
We advise you use the available Longitude bus services or public transport to get to the event.
If you are driving or being dropped off, you're better off carpooling.
Marathon Coaches
If you're looking for transport to and from the festival, Marathon Coaches have got you covered.
Check out the bus routes below:
From Custom House Quay: Friday, Saturday & Sunday
From 12.00 - 17.00 every half hour.
Buses return from Longitude from 22.00 until 23.30 back into the city centre.

Swords Express
Swords Express are operating a special return bus service from Malahide roundabout at the Swords Pavilions Shopping Centre (R106) direct to Marlay Park.
Private buses
There is coach/bus and minibus parking available within Marlay Park, access is via College Road.
You are asked to notify the festival first by registering in email to enquiries@festivalrepublic.com with the following information:
- Your name
- No. of passengers
- Coach company
- Name of driver
- Date and time of arrival and departure
If you are travelling to site using a private hire bus, coach or minibus, your driver should use Junction 13 off the M50.
Pick up area
If you're getting picked up by family and friends following the festival, there are road closures in place.
So the recommended collection point is at Our Lady’s School car park on Ballinteer Avenue.
Buses, including minibuses, will not be permitted to pick-up/drop-off in the local area and must use the College Road carpark instead.
Taxis
A taxi pick up area will be facilitated at the Supervalu on Ballinteer Avenue.
The promoter cannot guarantee there will be taxis available after the event.
They strongly advise you plan and book your return travel arrangements in advance.
By car
We advise you plan your route in advance and keep an eye on AA roadwatch for reports on traffic, road works, delays etc. that may occur on your route.
Age restrictions
We always just advise you bring ID with you, just in case.
Acceptable forms are: passport, Garda age card, driving licence.
Acceptable forms of ID for under 18’s are: school or college ID plus a colour copy of your in-date passport.
If you're under the age of 16 and you're unaccompanied then you will be denied access.
All under 16’s require a ticket to the event and must be accompanied by a ticket holding adult, parent or guardian over 18.
Also note that some areas on site are over 18’s only (Logic and Heineken Live Your Music).
Food and drink
You're not allowed bring your own food and drink however, there will be a wide variety of food traders available in the arena selling food and drink.
Only sealed soft drinks and water bottles up to 500ml will be allowed into the arena.
If you have to bring food with you for medical reasons, make sure all food is labelled and clearly visible to security during searches.
We recommend that you bring a doctor’s note or letter with you in case of queries.
Tap to pay with Visa contactless will be at onsite bars, meaning you can pay for anything up to €30 in less than a second.
