If you're looking to kick off the new term on the right foot, smoothies are a delicious way to do it. They're cheap, quick and easy to make and taste delicious.
Here are five recipes to get you started this new term:
1. Green Goodness:
Ingredients:
- 3 slices of pineapple chunks
- 1/2 a mango
- 1/2 a banana
- 200ml milk of your choice
- 2 handfuls of spinach
Method:
- Blend the pineapple, mango, banana and milk using a hand blender or smoothie maker
- Add the spinach a little at a time and blend.
2. Raspberry Chia:
Ingredients:
- Handful of frozen raspberries
- 150ml apple juice
- 3 tablespoons of yogurt
- 1/2 banana
- 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Method:
- Blend all the above ingredients until smooth
3. Berry and Avocado:
Ingredients:
- Juice of 2 limes
- 200ml milk of your choice
- 2 handfuls of mixed berries
- 1/2 avocado
- 3 tablespoons of yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Method:
- Blend the lime juice, milk, berries, avocado and yogurt using a hand blender or smoothie maker.
- Add the honey and blend again until smooth.
4. Strawberry Banana:
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 1 tablespoon of honey
- 250ml of Avonmore Super Milk

- Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
