The Moustache is calling! Will you answer?

Movember is back and ready to support men across Ireland so we can break the silence on men's health issues this World Mental Health Day.

Mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer are the biggest challenges men face – but Movember is making a real difference and as a result, Irish men are now living healthier, longer lives.

But what is Movember? Well, it raises much-needed funds to tackle the men's health issues that too often go unspoken. You can grow a moustache, host a mo-ment or go big and get your mates together for a hilarious night with a hot wings challenge tosee who can handle the spiciest wings!

Or for World Mental Health Day, how about you take the challenge to walk or run 60km for the 60 men we lose to suicide globally each hour? Whether you want to run fast, take it slow, go solo or join a team, how you move it up to you. It's all in aid of raising funds and awareness for men's mental health.

For the past twenty-one years, Movember has been changing the face of men's heath and has funded over 1,300 life-saving projects.

From groundbreaking biomedical research to creating prostate cancer registries, this work couldn't happen without fundraising.

Movember is making sure that Irish men get the support they need, when they need it.

So far, over 4,500 people have learned to better understand mental health through Movember's 'Ahead of the Game' program. Current and ex GAA players host workshops to teach young players, parents, and coaches across the country about the importance of mental health.

176 clubs in every county of Ireland have taken part this year. Thousands of people have learned to better understand mental health, how to build mental fitness and strengthen resilience when dealing with challenges in sport and life.

This is just one way Movember has been tackling men's biggest challenges and your support is making change happen for the men of Ireland.

What can you do this year?

Here’s how you can get involved:

  1. GROW: Whether it’s a mighty moustache or a patchy effort, even crap moustaches spark conversations. Grow your Mo, raise funds, and save lives.
  2. MOVE: Run or walk 60km for the 60 men we lose to suicide every hour, worldwide. Step up for men’s health.
  3. HOST: Throw a Mo-ment – whether it’s a coffee morning or a five-a-side match – and raise funds for men’s health.
  4. MO YOUR OWN WAY: Want to do something different? Mo Your Own Way! Take on any challenge that gets people talking – climb a mountain, shave your head, or do something completely wild.

Whether you’re flying solo, getting the lads at work involved, or rallying a team of mates, have a bit of craic while doing good.

Movember brings together people from all walks of life. Together, we can raise awareness and much-needed funds for men’s health in Ireland and stop men from dying too young.
