Culture Night 2019
Culture Night 2019 is happening across the country this Friday.
The public event sees organisations and venues of all shapes and sizes come together to celebrate culture, creativity and the arts.
There are hundreds of events happening, so to help you decide how to spend your time here are our top 10:
Dublin Street Art Tour
Street artist Will St Leger leads groups on a 90-minute tour of Dublin's street art.
This tour is so popular it sells out every year, so apply for tickets sooner rather than later!

GPO Witness History
The GPO centre will open late for people to explore the 1916 Easter Rising, War of Independence and the Civil War.
And to mark Culture Night there will be a Proclamation reading every 30 minutes in the courtyard

Gaeity School of Acting
The Gaeity School of Acting are putting on free taster classes for adults and children.
There will be lessons in acting, improvisation and musical theater.

District Magazine
District Magazine are taking over Meeting House Square for an evening of hip hop.
Celaviedmai, Pat Lagoon, and BOYW1DR will perform while Red Bull will supply complimentary drinks.

The Fumbally Stables
The people behind the Fumbally Café will host a series of workshops and classes.
Some of the topics include 'sustainable food practices' and 'how the way we eat and drink affects our health and happiness.'

Central Plaza
Central Plaza is the soon-to-be-open public space on Dame Street.
For Culture Night the plaza will host a 'heart-stopping, one-of-a-kind spectacle' when Aerial Cirque put on a gravity defying show with music by composer Peter Power and visuals by Bulgarian artist Petko Panchev.

The O’Brien Press
This really cool event is a great opportunity for a budding children's author.
O'Brien Press are inviting writers to pitch their children and young adult novels to them in under ten minutes.

Record Store Tour
Another Culture Night event that's sure to book out, vinyl enthusiast Simon Roche will bring a group on a tour of Dublin's finest independent record stores.
During the 90 minute tour you'll learn the history of some of the more famous stores and discover some hidden gems.

The Digital Hub
The Digital Hub, Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival and the Dublin Flea Market are teaming up to celebrate film.
Expect food, markets and an outdoor cinema with a programme of short films.
