To mark the occasion, a special photocall took place outside the theatre earlier today, featuring General Manager Stephen Faloon and Head of PR and Marketing Claire Whelan, joined by celebration birthday cake and a striking '15' installation.

Since that opening night, Bord Gáis Energy Theatre has welcomed an incredible 7.5 million visitors through its doors. In that time, theatre-goers have munched their way through 5 million bags of popcorn (that’s enough to fill the orchestra pit many times over!), flipped through 6 million show programmes (each one a keepsake of an unforgettable night), clinked 8 million glasses of wine(cheers to all those standing ovations!), and sipped 4 million beers (because great theatre deserves a great toast). And while audiences were soaking up the atmosphere, there have been 3,585 dazzling performances featuring more than 32,000 phenomenal performers lighting up the stage.
