It's set to cause quite the racket!

Padel is officially the fastest growing sport in the world, and in reaction Ireland welcomes a notable new addition to its sporting landscape with the opening tomorrow of ‘House of Padel’.

The new premium, indoor facility will be Dublin’s first indoor padel club, complete with 4 premium indoor courts and numerous extra member benefits and facilities. Alongside the indoor padel courts, ‘House of Padel’ will also boast a state-of-the-art sauna, ice bath plunge pools, a health food bar and will offer yoga & pilates classes to all levels.

The decision to add ice baths was made due to the now proven health benefits of ice bathing, leading to a boom in its popularity over the past few years. We now know an ice bathing session is the perfect way to assist with recovery after a challenging game of padel.

According to reports, the world’s interest in this dynamic sport has dramatically increased over the past few years, and House of Padel, located in Dublin 24 just 10 minutes from Dublin’s Bushy Park, is set to be Dublin’s premium yet innovative new home for Padel enthusiasts.

Padel is a hybrid of tennis and squash, and has captured the imagination of millions worldwide. The sport has experienced exponential growth in recent years due to its accessibility to all levels of players from beginner to advanced. According to recent statistics, the number of padel courts worldwide is set to double by 2026 (+112.5%) from 40,000 currently to 85,000. House of Padel sees Ireland following suit in this exciting global sports trend.  The social sport has become a firm favourite of international athletes such as David Beckham and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Zinedine Zidane recently opened his own Padel courts complex, all contributing to Padel now officially being the fastest growing sport in the world.

Speaking about the exciting opening, Founder and CEO Will McGlade said:

“At House of Padel, the focus extends beyond mere recreation; it's about fostering a sense of community among enthusiasts and providing an avenue for personal growth through sport. Our new complex is complete with four meticulously designed indoor courts, as well as Ireland’s first ever pickleball court. Pickleball, a sport that began as a niche activity, has also swiftly evolved into a global phenomenon, captivating players of all ages and skill levels. And pickleball is generally thought to be the next padel craze. The new court will offer Dubliners the first ever space here to embrace this sport’s fast-paced, fun, competitive and yet inclusive style.”

House of Padel promises an unparalleled playing experience, shielded from the uncertainty of the Irish weather. The new premium members club will also soon be the host of international padel tournaments.

"It's a really exciting time to be involved in padel,” continues Will McGlade. “The interest and dare I say obsession around the sport is growing exponentially.”

“We're thrilled to introduce Dublin's first indoor padel club, offering enthusiasts a haven to hone their skills, top-notch facilities and the comfort of knowing you never need to worry about the unpredictable Irish weather”.

House of Padel prides itself on offering a premium yet accessible experience, catering to individuals looking for both recreation and wellness. Alongside the courts, members gain access to essential amenities such as modern changing facilities, lockers, hot showers, members parking, a health food café, a sauna, ice bath plunge pools, bike stations and more. There are even future plans to add a gym down the line.

Furthermore, House of Padel prioritises holistic well-being by integrating additional wellness facilities. Yoga and Pilates classes will also be offered, encouraging members to embrace a balanced lifestyle.

"As the sport of padel continues to captivate audiences worldwide, House of Padel stands as a testament to Ireland's firm embrace of this exciting sport", remarks Will McGlade. "We're excited to provide a platform for players of all levels to engage with padel. Adding Yoga and Pilates classes alongside the padel courts seemed like the right choice, so members can enjoy both side-by-side. We’ll be offering classes by expert teachers all week long”.
