Mobile banking app changes
Banking services will soon have an extra security step.
These changes, which come into effect from September 14th, mean users will have to go through two log in processes.
The Banking and Payments Federation of Ireland says customers might have to update their contact details or download a new app to access their accounts.
The BPFI have also said the new steps may include either facial or finger print recognition.
Individual banks will contact mobile banking customer with the new instructions before the changes begin.
