A Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot is in the works - Que the music!
After nearly 20 years the iconic series is coming back and Hulu are set to be nearing a pilot order.
The iconic Sarah Michelle Gellar is expected to reprise her role as Buffy Summers.
According to Deadline: "I hear the reboot is starting a writers room soon, a sign that Hulu and the studios have high expectations for the project going to series. It is unclear yet whether other original Buffy cast members would return; that is considered likely."
The plot details are yet to be revealed, but rumour has it that the series will focus on a new Slayer with Buffy said to step in as a mentor.
Elsewhere, someone I never would have put money on is set to produce it - Dolly Parton - her production company actually produced the original series from 1998-2003, but she never got credited and is making sure this time that box is ticked.
