Callum dumped from the villa
We have our first Love Island 2019 victim.
Callum Macleod has been dumped from the villa on Day 5.
Speaking in a post-Love Island interview he described his time in the villa as, "really, really enjoyable."
"It’s unfortunate that I didn’t meet anyone that I connected with but I had such good fun in there."
He continued, "It was a fabulous thing to do and a really positive thing in my life."
When asked if he would do anything differently he said no.
"There were definitely people in there that I was closer to and maybe if the opportunity had come to speak to those people more it might have been a little bit different."
"But ultimately I’m 28, I’ve had a couple of serious relationships, I know what I’m looking for and it just didn’t come through the door on this occasion."
Callum & Amy
Callum said one of his highlights on the show was his friendship with Curtis.
He also revealed Curtis and Amy seem to be the only real couple in the villa.
When asked if he thinks they can do the distance he replied, "They’re so well suited, it’s like they’ve been together for ages already.
"You could definitely see them working on the outside. I hope they do. They’re both really good people"
Finally, Callum admits he wasn't surprised when he was left single following the recoupling.
"I definitely saw it coming," he said.
"Apart from Curtis, anyone of us could have gone."
"We weren't sure what the girls were thinking," he continued.
"I didn't know what was being said, but I kept saying, I didn't want to force it and fake it because I didn't think it was the correct manner to do so."
Callum will appear as a guest on this week's Love Island: Aftersun.
It airs at 10pm this Sunday on Virgin Media Two.
