Release Date
Following its huge success, You season 2 has been confirmed.
The series originally aired on Lifetime but Netflix have renewed the second season.
The move was announced on 3rd December with Netflix releasing season 1 in full on 26th December.
While we don't have a release date yet, we can expect season 2 in autumn 2019.
Cast
Penn Badgley will return as Joe, who will continue as the lead character in season 2.
It's expected that his ex Candace played by Ambyr Childers will have a bigger role this time around.

Just when you think you’ve hit ROCK BOTTOM, there’s a BASEMENT! @younetflix
Also rumoured for season two are bookshop employee Ethan (Zach Cherry), Beck's friends Lynn (Nicole King) and Annika (Kathryn) and Claudia, mother Joe's young neighbour Paco, played by Victoria Cartagena.
For now it looks like Becks (Elizabeth Lail) and Peach (Shay Mitchell) are ruled out.
However, might we see them return in flashbacks or as ghosts to haunt Joe.
Plot
You was a book first and it has a sequel so we already know a lot about where season 2 is headed.
Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes sees New Yorker Joe relocate to L.A.
You might remember that Joe's neighbours Paco and his mother move to Los Angelos at the end of the first season. This almost guarantees them a return in the story.
While season 2 will take inspiration from the second book it won't follow the story entirely.
Show writer Sera Gamble told Metro, 'We’ve got lots of great stuff from the books, and also some new things that have come about as a result of changing the story for TV, like that Candace is alive and kicking and not pleased with Joe.'
We'll also be finding out more about Joe's past.
Gamble told Hollywood reporter, 'There's a lot more to explore about Joe from earlier in his life. Those are the things we're starting to get into for season two.'
Finally, Joe has some loose ends to tie up after the murders in season 1.
Gamble continued, 'He is very worried about the fact that Peach Salinger's family has hired people to investigate her alleged suicide, and there is evidence potentially still at her house.'
Trailer
We don't have a trailer or teaser trailer just yet.
But with promises of a second season this year hopefully we won't be waiting too long for a glimpse at Joe in L.A.
