Game Of Thrones prequel
HBO have issued a straight-to-series 10 episode Game Of Thrones prequel on the origins of House Targaryen.
The new show is co-created by George R.R. Martin and is based off his book Fire & Blood.
It's named House of the Dragon and is set 300 years before GOT.

President of HBO programming Casey Bloys announced the news at a presentation for the new HBO Max streaming service.
Variety report Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik will work on the pilot episode.
He'll continue to work on other episodes while also serving as a co-showrunner.
George R.R. Martin will serve as an executive producer alongside fellow co-creator Ryan Condal.
Bloys tells the outlet, 'The Game of Thrones universe is so rich with stories.'
'We look forward to exploring the origins of House Targaryen and the earlier days of Westeros along with Miguel, Ryan and George.'

So in this series we'll learn more about her ancestors.

The news comes as a bit of a surprise considering it was announced just today that Naomi Watts' prequel had been cancelled.
A name hadn't yet been revealed for it but it's believed they had already filmed the pilot episode.
Meanwhile, it seems the original Game Of Thrones cast don't really talk anymore.
