Charlie and the Chocolate Factory move over!
Hershey, one of the world’s most famous chocolate companies is getting made into a film.
The film will be based on the creation of the iconic brand, with Mean Girls and Freaky Friday filmmaker Mark Waters set to direct it.
American Horror Story actor Finn Wittrock and White Lotus star Alexandra Daddario have been cast to star in the upcoming film.
The story follows, "Milton Hershey, (played by Finn) who, alongside his wife Kitty, (played by Alexandra) built a candy empire that powered a philanthropic legacy. In 1909, Milton and Kitty founded the Hershey Industrial School, which provided free education and housing to orphans and underprivileged children."
According to Variety: "Twenty years before his death, Milton transferred the majority of his fortune into the Milton Hershey School Trust, planting the seed for one of the wealthiest educational endowments in the country. In developing a town around their chocolate factory, the Hersheys also built cinemas, recreation centers and public transportation for their workers."
Production is set to take place in Pennsylvania some time in May for a 2026 release date.
