Riverdale
Pre-production on Riverdale has officially resumed after it was put on hold amid the pandemic.
In celebration, show creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has released a sneak peek at the upcoming prom episode.
He shared a picture of Vanessa Morgan's Toni Topaz and Madelaine Petsch's Cheryl Blossom all dressed up.
Roberto captioned the picture, 'couldn’t resist a sneak peek at Prom Night (our first episode back) with these two beautiful ladies!'
'Rest assured, ALL the queens will reigning SUPREMELY next season!'
This particular episode was filmed before production was halted amid the coronavirus pandemic.
It was supposed to air as part of the current fourth season, however, they didn't have time to finish it.
Roberto explained to ET at the time, 'Though we actually shot the prom, where a lot of dramatic stuff happened, there were so many emotional scenes with Archie and Veronica and Jughead and Betty that it felt like we just couldn’t quite do it.'
Season 5
The showrunner also shared a poster for the upcoming fifth season of Riverdale.
It shows a terrified woman, seemingly running for her life as the headlights of a truck shine down on her.
In the caption, Roberto revealed, 'At long last, the offices are open and we are in pre-production on Season 5 of #Riverdale!!'

In an interview with Jimmy Fallon this week, Betty Cooper actress Lili Reinhart revealed filming is set to commence very soon.
She said that she'll be jetting off to Canada in, "a couple days," to resume production on the new season.
However, she'll of course have to go into quarantine for two weeks once she arrives.
She told Jimmy, "We had two and half episodes left. We stopped in the middle of an episode."
"So when we go back we have to finish three days of one episode that we were filming in March."
"So we're all going to be significantly tanner... Maybe I've gained weight during quarantine so I'll look a little different."
Meanwhile, there's going to be a big time jump in season five.
