Day 12
It's day 12 in the Love Island villa and tensions are building.
Last night's episode featured a challenge, a big recoupling and an even bigger twist.
If you missed out, you can catch up here.
Bridezillas
Maura receives a text which reads: Girls. It’s time to pop on your wedding dresses and say ‘I do’, as you head off to today’s challenge.

The girls battle it out over two rounds to win the title of ultimate ‘Bridezilla’.
The first round involves the girls competing against each other by pulling their boy up the aisle on sledges.
Once fully over the finish line, the boy stands up, the girl puts a ring on his finger and she may now kiss the ‘groom’.

All this drama with the girls is clearly getting to the boys... #LoveIsland
As Anna, Elma and Maura aren’t coupled up, they can choose any boy to be their potential ‘husband’ in this challenge.
As Maura chooses Tommy to pull up the aisle, she finally gets the kiss she's craved as Tommy locks lips with her at the alter.
But Molly-Mae seems less than impressed as she watches from the side-lines.

The final round is a good old-fashioned food fight.
The remaining girls will have to pick up food from the buffet tables and try to dirty their opponents’ dresses.
At the end of the game, the girl whose dress remains the cleanest will be declared the winner.
Anna won!
The love triangle
While Molly-Mae is currently coupled up with Tommy, Maura has made no secret of the fact that she has a connection with him too.
Molly-Mae decides to talk to Maura about Tommy and explains how she feels about the situation.
At the fire pit, Molly-Mae tells Maura, “I woke up this morning and the first thing I’ve been told is that you went in for a kiss last night."
"I did tell you yesterday where my head was at. You keep saying you’re a girl’s girl but the fact you went in for a kiss, that’s really hurt me.”

Maura replies, “I do feel like me and Tommy have a connection. I don’t want to upset anyone in here. It’s up to Tommy."
"What else am I meant to do? I am in here for one reason.”
Molly-Mae says, “I think I would just really respect you and like you as a girl if you can just be open and honest with me about what goes on between you and Tommy from now on and I’ll do the same.”
Maura reflects in the Beach Hut, “Surely I don’t have to run anything past Molly? She is upset that I went in for a kiss even though the kiss didn’t happen. If she told the boy that she liked him then fair enough but she didn’t.”
Joe is having doubts
Joe has noticed that Lucie isn’t spending much time with the girls but that she is also particularly close with Tommy.
While the Islanders relax in the garden, Tommy and Lucie whisper on the beanbags before heading over to the kitchen to see if they can both eat a spoonful of chilli sauce in a fiery competition between the pals.

However, Joe has picked up on their liaisons and doesn’t understand why she is spending so much time with Tommy.
In the Beach Hut, he says, “Lucie and Tommy always go off and have little chats. I know they’re just friends but it’s strange."
"She knows it’ll be affecting me. She’s not really caring that much.”
After a drama filled day, Joe speaks with Molly-Mae, “I want a happy villa. Happy families. Lucie is acting very selfishly."
"Who is she sitting with now? Tommy. I feel like she isn’t the person I met.”

Shout out to Tommy for being a genuinely nice human to Lucie. #LoveIsland
Joe is keen to speak with Lucie about how he feels. At the fire pit, he says, “The whole thing with Tommy, it is strange."
"You were with him for a good hour.”

Can someone please pop up to the terrace and give Lucie a hug? ❤️ #LoveIsland
Lucie replies, “Yes because I get on with him better than the girls. It doesn’t mean there is a romantic thing there.”
Joe says, “You know I like you so much but I do doubt things at times.”
Anton's torn between Anna and Elma
Meanwhile, Anton is in a pickle of his own.
Although he has been getting to know Elma on a romantic level, he still feels a loyalty to single Anna, who he has a strong friendship with.
Anna and Anton speak about the situation.
Anna says, “I can see that you and Elma are getting on. You two look cute.”
Anton replies, “I love you to pieces. My time in here without you wouldn’t feel the same.”
Anton later has a chat with Elma, “I think the two of us are getting on really good."
"I like the direction it’s going. You’ve almost put all your cards on the table.”
Elma replies, “I think you’re a good person.”

Anton says, “You’re making this experience how I imagined it would be in the first place.”
Elma replies, “You always have tick boxes, the qualities that you want in someone. Slowly but surely those boxes are being ticked.”
Anton reflects in the Beach Hut, “My heart is telling me one thing and my head is telling me another thing.”
I got a text!
Elma receives a text which reads: Islanders. Tonight, there will be a recoupling in which the boys will choose which girl they want to couple up with. #nomoreshapes #girlproblems #standbyyourman.
Molly-Mae reflects on the recent news in the Beach Hut, “Obviously, I’m feeling a bit apprehensive."
"I just want to get tonight over and done with. I just want to know what Tommy is going to do.”
Similarly, Maura is feeling the heat, “I don’t know what that man [Tommy] is thinking. He’s very hard to read.”
Tommy reflects in the Beach Hut, “It doesn’t get more fifty-fifty than this. It’s crazy because Maura and Molly-Mae are both beautiful girls but I’m sure my final decision will be the right one.”
Meanwhile, Anton seeks advice from Joe, “I feel a loyalty to Anna but then on the other hand, with Elma it feels like there is something there."
"I want to do the right thing by Anna but if I do that I’m jeopardising myself here.”

Decision time
As night falls, Curtis receives a text which reads: Can all Islanders gather around the fire pit immediately. #decisiontime.
Curtis chooses Amy, Joe chooses Lucie, Danny chooses Yewande, Anton chooses Elma and Tommy chooses Molly-Mae leaving Anna and Maura vulnerable.
To the islanders surprise, Maura receives a text which reads that she and Anna must now head off on a date with two new boys.

Meanwhile, the new couples must each vote for the couple they feel is the least compatible.
The couple with the most amount of votes will be dumped from the villa.
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media Two.
