Martin Scorsese is a Derry Girls fan
It turns out famed Hollywood director Martin Scorsese has been watching Derry Girls.
He made the revelation at the Economic Club of Chicago's annual black tie dinner earlier this year.
While the dinner was months ago, a clip from the moment has only started doing the rounds online now.
In the footage, he's asked, "What are you watching now?"
He responds, "I watched, the other night, Derry Girls?" When the crowd cheered, he lifted his fist in the air, smiled and said, "Those nuns!"
Good morning. I’m ded. 💀 https://t.co/vLgUbDMVsi

Siobhán McSweeney, who played Sister Michael, retweeted the video and wrote, 'Good morning. I’m ded.'
While the show's creator Lisa McGee tweeted, 'Excuse me while I drop dead and actually die a death'
Dara Ó Briain responded, 'And that’s it, you win. Shut it down, people, we have a winner.'

A Scorsese and McGee collaboration perhaps?...
