Love Island have just confirmed Maya Jama will be replacing Laura Whitmore as host of the dating show.

Love Island fans have been calling for Maya to replace Laura ever since the Irish presenter announced she was stepping away from the show.
Reports have been doing the rounds that the UK presenter had in fact landed the role.
However, nothing had been confirmed until now.

The show posted a video of Maya scrolling through Google, looking at all the online speculation and reports.
When the camera pans out, she picks up a Love Island water bottle and smiles before her official LI suitcase comes into frame.

Laura was one of the first to throw her support behind Maya in the comments.
She wrote, 'Yes girl!! So delighted for you! You’re gonna be fab'
In a statement, as quoted by MailOnline, Maya said, 'I’ve always been such a massive Love Island fan and I’m so excited to be hosting one of the nation’s favourite shows!'
