Melissa McCarthy set to star in The Little Mermaid
Melissa McCarthy is reportedly gearing up for a role in Disney's live action remake of The Little Mermaid.
According to Variety, the Bridesmaid's actress is in talks for the part of Ursula.
She has some competition
McCarthy isn't the only star eyeing up the role of the infamous villain.
Lizzo has made it very clear that she wants the role, so much so that she even released an 'audition tape'.
She sang Poor Unfortunate Souls from the movie's soundtrack back in November.

However, it doesn't look like she caught the attention of the producers.
She later shared Variety's article regarding Melissa's casting on her Twitter page.
