Comic Con 2019
Comic Con 2019 took place in San Diego over the weekend.
While there was lots of dressing up, we also go huge movie announcements, TV show reveals and lots of exciting trailers.
Here's a round up of all the biggest updates from the event:

Trailers are a huge part of Comic Con events, and this year's releases did not disappoint.
HBO, Netflix and the big movie companies all put out some exciting clips.

Marvel News
In addition to all those trailers, we also got lots of exciting news!
Marvel hosted a panel where they revealed their Phase 4 plans.
Phase 4 will run from early 2020 to late 2021 and will include a number of TV shows and movies.
President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige took to the stage to confirm the following:
Black Widow - Cinema
Scarlett Johansson's Natasha Romanoff is getting a stand alone movie.
It will also star Stanger Things' David Harbour and Rachel Weisz.

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier - Disney+
With Disney's streaming service Disney+ on the way, we'll see lots of our favourite Marvel characters on the small screen.
Up first Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan as Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Release date:Autumn 2020
The Eternals - Cinema
There's a new set of super heroes joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The cast already includes Richard Madden, Salma Hayek and Angelina Jolie.
Release date: November 2020
Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings - Cinema
Marvel have officially announced their first Asian super hero.
Chinese-Canadian actor and stunt performer Simu Liu will play Shang-Chi.
Also starring in the movie is Awkwafina.
Release date: February 2021
Wandavision - Disney+
In another annoucement for Disney+, characters Wanda and Vision are teaming up for a new show.
Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will reprise their roles, despite Vision's death in Avengers: Infinity War.
Release date: Spring 2021
Loki - Disney+
While we're on the topic of characters coming back from the dead, Loki is getting a Disney+ show too!
Tom Hiddleston will pick up where Loki left off in Avengers: Endgame for what Hiddleston described as, "one of the most exciting creative opportunities I think I’ve ever come across."
Release date: Spring 2021
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness - Cinema
Marvel is releasing it's first ever horror film!
Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Doctor Strange for a scary sequel that will apparently also star Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda!
Release date: May 2021
What If? - Disney+
This series is an adaptation of a comic book which explores 'what if' scenarios for our favourite Marvel characters.
And it sounds like ALL our favourite Marvel characters will star.
The list looks like this: Michael B. Jordan, Sebastian Stan, Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Hayley Atwell, Chadwick Boseman, Karen Gillan, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Neal McDonough, Dominic Cooper, Sean Gunn, Natalie Portman, David Dastmalchian, Stanley Tucci, Taika Waititi, Toby Jones, Djimon Hounsou, Jeff Goldblum, Michael Rooker and Chris Sullivan.
Release date: Summer 2021
Hawkeye - Disney+
Jeremy Renner aka Clint Barton aka Hawkeye is getting a show.
We have no other info just yet!
Release date: Autumn 2021
Thor: Love And Thunder - Cinema
We're getting a fourth Thor movie.
Ragnarock director Taika Waititi will return, alongside Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Natalie Portman's Jane Foster!
Portman will play a new character known as The Mighty Thor.
Release date: November 2021
Blade - Cinema
Mahershala Ali is set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Having previously appeared in Luke Cage, he'll now play half-human, half-vampire warrior Blade in a new movie.
Release date: TBC
And if that wasn't enough, Kevin Feige had some other announcements to make.
We can expect X-Men and Fantastic Four news in the future and there are sequels in the works for Black Panther and Captain Marvel.
Not to mention Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 3 and The Suicide Squad!
In August this year Disney will host its own event, similar to Comic Con.
It's called D23 and we can expect even more Disney and Marvel news from that.
Riverdale News
All the main Riverdale stars were present at Comic Con 2019.
Here's a round up of the big news from their panel:
- We're getting a Halloween episode
- Jughead is off to a rival prep school
- The main characters will compete in a Battle of the Bands
- Veronica has a new family member coming to town
- We'll see a kiss between Alice and F.P.
- Veronica and Cheryl will team up as business partners.
And if that wasn't exciting enough, we're getting a Katy Keene/Riverdale crossover at some point in the future!
Riverdale season 4 premieres on Netflix this autumn.
