Cheer receives 6 Emmy nominations
The Navarro College Cheer Team have been reacting to the news of their six Emmy nominations.
Among others, Cheer received the nod for outstanding unstructured reality program, cinematography and directing.
They celebrated the news on the team's official Instagram account yesterday.
Next to a group photo, they wrote, 'CHEER received SIX Emmy nominations this morning!!!'
'Thank you to Greg Whiteley and the entire crew for telling our story with such raw emotions and honesty.'
'You all will forever be a part of our team.'

Meanwhile, coach Monica Aldama also celebrated the news on her own Instagram account.
Alongside two cast photos, Monica wrote that she had no idea what she was in for when she was approached for the show three years ago.
'Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined the amazing ride that was to come.'

During an interview with E! News, Monica was asked if the Cheer team will reunite for a performance at the Emmys.
She replied, 'You know what, I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen.'
'But I think it's a great idea so we'll see,' she laughed.
