Chicken Run 2
Netflix have announced they're making a sequel to Chicken Run.
They tweeted the news earlier today, 'exactly 20 years to the day since the original was released.'

Plot
This new movie will follow Ginger having just escaped from Tweedy’s farm.
The synopsis reads, 'Ginger has finally found her dream - a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock, far from the dangers of the human world.'
'When she and Rocky hatch a little girl called Molly, Ginger’s happy ending seems complete.'
But while Ginger is living it up, the chickens back on the mainland face, 'a new and terrible threat.'
'For Ginger and her team, even if it means putting their own hard-won freedom at risk – this time, they’re breaking in!'
The people behind the sequel
The movie will be produced by Aardman Animations, the same company behind the original movie.
Co-founder and Creative Director Peter Lord released a statement following the announcement.
He said they're delighted to share that they've finally, 'found the perfect story,' for a sequel.
It'll be directed by Flushed Away's Sam Fell and produced by Arthur Christmas' Steve Pegram and Leyla Hobart.
Peter Lord, Carla Shelley and Karey Kirkpatrick will take on the role as executive producers.
While the script is written by Karey Kirkpatrick, John O’ Farrell and Rachel Tunnard.
And the creator behind Wallace and Gromit and Shaun the Sheep, Nick Park will act as a consultant on the movie.
Production will begin sometime next year.
