Away on Netflix
Netflix have cancelled their series Away after just one season.
The decision comes a little over a month after its release on the streamer.

Away follows the story of American astronaut Emma Green, played by Hilary Swank.
She embarks on a journey to lead an international crew on the first mission to Mars.
To do this, she must leave behind her husband and teenage daughter when they need her most.

As the crew's journey into space intensifies, they each deal with their own personal issues.
Netflix said, 'Away shows that sometimes to reach for the stars, we must leave home behind.'

The series spent several weeks in the top 10 Nielsen streaming viewership rankings, according to Deadline.
It even peaked at number two for its first full week of release.
But unfortunately that wasn't enough for Netflix to renew it for another season.

Ram actor Ray Panthaki also shared his reaction on social media.
He wrote that he's deeply saddened by the news, 'because [he] knew what the creators had planned was going to be EPIC.'
Ray thanked Netflix for giving them a chance to create, 'something so beautiful and positive.'
'It’s not lost on me how much time, care and money it would’ve taken to make something like this happen.'

Talitha Bateman, who played Emma's teenage daughter paid tribute to her onscreen family on Instagram.
