Netflix cancel V Wars
The Hollywood Reporter say Netflix have made the decision to cancel Ian Somerhalder's V Wars.
The highly anticipated first season dropped on the streaming service December 5th last year.
Fans were excited to see Ian back in action following on from his famous role as Damon Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries.
According to THR, Netflix often make the decision to cancel a show based on, 'internal viewing data vs. cost.'
They consider whether or not an additional season, 'will be valuable to its subscribers.'
Or whether the cost should be invested into new content for the platform.
The cancellation news comes months after Ian shared how excited he is to continue the story after season one.
He told Digital Spy, 'The subsequent seasons of what we have lined up for the show are, pardon my French, they're f**king sick.'
Ian added, 'They really are!'
V Wars
The series follows the story of Dr. Luther Swann who attempts to cure a mysterious disease transforming people into so-called vampires.
It all becomes much more complicated when Swann's best friend, Michael Fayne is turned into one of these murderous predators.
Fayne is soon elected as the powerful underground leader of the vampires.
For many, this show was the answer to our The Vampire Diaries withdrawal symptoms.
There is, however, a massive difference between the role Ian played in TVD and the role he played in V Wars.
Damon is an arrogant, dark, sadistic and charming vampire.
Whereas Dr. Luther Swann isn't a vampire at all.
