Dead To Me has been renewed on Netflix
Netflix have announced that the hugely popular series Dead To Me has been renewed for a second season.
The dark comedy follows the story of a dynamic female friendship between Jen and Judy who meet at a grief support group.
Show creator Liz Feldman will serve as a show-runner and executive producer on season two.
The original stars will return as Jen and Judy played by Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini.
Will Ferrell has been named as an executive producer on the new season alongside Christina Applegate.
Season one
Season one ended with a cliffhanger as Jen shot Judy's ex Steve who is played by James Marsden.
It's after Jen found out that Judy was the person responsible for the hit and run that killed her husband.
We can't wait to see how the pair find their way out of this mess.
Applegate previously told The Hollywood Reporter that she was in 'semi-retirement' before Feldman talked her into doing the show.
'It literally took them like dragging me out of my semi-retirement, because I was very happy with my kind of not showering life and doing what I want, and just raising my daughter.'
When asked what it was that convinced her to take on the role she said it was the 'unique premise' of the show.
'It was a lot of things. It was really a unique premise and show, and I had known Liz Feldman and really loved her as a human being.'
A release date for season two has yet to be announced.
