Paul Mescal reacts to Emmy nomination
Paul Mescal has received an Emmy nomination for his role as Connell in Normal People.
He took to social media to react to the news, thanking his co-star Daisy Edgar-Jones for making this possible.
Paul reacted by sharing a scene from the series of his character crying.
He wrote alongside the photo, 'My actual face right now!'
'Thank you to absolutely everyone at @ElementPictures, @huluand @bbcthree!'
The Irish star continued, '@lennyabrahamson I will never be able to thank you enough!'

- Directing for a limited series, movie or dramatic special
- Lead actor in a limited series or movie
- Writing for a limited series, movie or dramatic special
Daisy
While Marianne actress Daisy Edgar-Jones didn't receive any nods, director Lenny Abrahamson insists these nominations are for her too.
He tweeted, 'Delighted for @mescal_paul @louisekiely Sally and Alice'
'and huge love too to the brilliant @DaisyEdgarJones who is woven into the dna of this show in a way impossible to separate.'

Meanwhile, Daisy congratulated her colleagues on Instagram.
She wrote, 'I could not be more proud of these two utterly incredible people, working with you both has been one of the greatest joys of my life.'
