Phil & Holly at the NTAs

Multiple outlets are reporting Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were booed at the National Television Awards in London last night.

It happened when This Morning was announced as the winner of the Best Daytime category.

An audience source told The Irish Sun, 'The boos in the room were very loud when Holly and Phil were announced as the winners.'

'It was really embarrassing. Linda Robson from Loose Women didn't clap either. It was all very awkward.'

However, that's not to say there wasn't plenty of cheers and clapping going on also.

Taking to the stage, Phillip said, "Don't think we ever get complacent and please don't think we ever take this for granted."

"This means so much to us every year, especially this year."

"We have the most amazing team. I have the best friend, we have the best boss."

While Holly said, "Thank you so much, this award means everything because it is voted by you, and I think This Morning has a very special relationship with you."

"You make our show for us, you really do."

And Alison Hammond said, "We are so grateful for this award, honestly, I think This Morning is a mood."

Queue Gate

Phil and Holly have been facing serious backlash ever since they were accused of skipping the queue to see the Queen lying in state.

The duo addressed the criticism on the show, insisting they were there as, 'accredited broadcasters and journalists,' to report on the event.

That's why they didn't join the public queue, which had a wait time of up to 20 hours.
