Lorraine Barry
When you watch talent shows, you sometimes wonder what a certain judge is doing on the panel.
When it comes to Dancing With The Stars, there’s no doubt that Lorraine Barry is more than qualified to be there!
Lorraine started dancing when she was just six years old, has won over fifty national and international titles and she judges and teaches across the world.
Always A Dancer
Lorraine always imagined dancing would be a part of life.
She became obsessed with dancing after her first dance lesson at age 6.
She could feel the music in her soul and fell for the gorgeous outfits she got to wear as she took to the dance floor.
Even though she knew that dancing was her thing, her dad made sure she had another career to fall back on just in case it didn’t work.
She studied to be a secretary but as soon as she finished that course, she became consumed by the world of dance.
Realities of Dance Life
A dancer’s life looks glamourous, and in parts it is, but it is also tough.
Lorraine has spent her life living out of suitcases, missing family and friends and trying to get over jet lag.
Thing is she wouldn’t change it – for as long as she keeps loving it she’s going to keep going.
Judging
One of her loves is being a judge on Dancing With The Stars.

Judges caught in the act😜 what a great show! Ready to do it all again!! 🌟🌟
Lorraine admitted that sometimes it is hard to stay behind the desk.
Due to this, when she hears the music, she wants to be a part of it.
If you look closely, sometimes you can see her moving to the beat on her chair.
Glitter Ball Trophy
Lorraine thinks that Fred Cooke can feel the music but believes that Mairead Ronan and Johnny Ward have been the most consistent contestants over the series.
She said that she wouldn’t be surprised if one of them takes home the glitter ball trophy.
That said, it is totally in the audience’s hands so it might be someone else!
