KJ Apa bags lead role in new pandemic thriller
Riverdale's KJ Apa has bagged the lead role in the upcoming Michael Bay produced pandemic thriller Songbird.
Demi Moore, YOU's Jenna Ortega, Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists' Sofia Carson and loads more will star in the movie.

According to Deadline, the thriller takes place two years into the future.
Lockdown has been re-implemented after a more serious virus starts to mutate and spread.
'In a feeble attempt to keep the sickness contained, the city has been bisected into haves and have nots.'
The film follows the story of a delivery man (Apa) deemed an essential worker, who has a rare immunity.
His girlfriend (Carson) however, is in lockdown at her home with no way of physically being with him.
The thriller follows Apa's character as he fights to be with ones he loves.

The cast includes Demi Moore, Bradley Whitford, Craig Robinson, Jenna Ortega, Paul Walter Hauser, Sofia Carson and Peter Stormare.
Songbird's director Adam Mason co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Boyes.
Invisible Narrative will produce the movie alongside Catchlight Films and Michael Bay.
