Ah ya think Ridley would have waited for our Paul!

Jacob Elordi is set to replace Paul Mescal in Ridley Scott's upcoming thriller, The Dog Stars.

Paul was due to star in the Gladiator directors upcoming apocalypse film, but it looks like he can no longer commit.

According to Variety, the Irish actor had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts with Sam Mendes’ Beatles biopics where he's confirmed to play Paul McCartney.

The Saltburn actor is reportedly in "early negotiations" to play "a pilot named Hig who befriends a cranky gunman as they try to outlast a roaming band of scavengers called Reapers."

The movie is based on Peter Heller's 2012 book, The Dog Stars.

The synopsis reads: "Hig’s wife is gone, his friends are dead, and he lives in the hangar of a small abandoned airport with his dog, Jasper, and a mercurial, gun-toting misanthrope named Bangley."

"But when a random transmission beams through the radio of his 1956 Cessna, the voice ignites a hope deep inside him that a better life exists outside their tightly controlled perimeter."

"Risking everything, he flies past his point of no return and follows its static-broken trail, only to find something that is both better and worse than anything he could ever hope for."
