Stay calm, Scream 7 has officially started filming!
If you didn’t know, the highly anticipated film is set to make it's return on the 27th of February 2026.
Kevin Williamson, who wrote the first, second and forth films is stepping in for the first time to direct the horror franchise.
Taking to Instagram to share the exciting news with a photo of the first slate, he wrote: "I’m not supposed to post about Scream and I hope @spyglassmediagr and @paramountpics will forgive me but when you have one of the best days of your life it’s really hard to keep it to yourself."

The cast has gone through some major changes due to some behind-the-scenes drama, so sadly Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega and David Arquette will not be returning to the franchise.
However, Neve Campbell, who plays Sidney Prescott, Courteney Cox, who plays Gale Weathers and Mason Gooding, who plays Chad Meeks-Martin are all confirmed to reprise their roles
Joining the cast is Mckenna Grace, Asa Germann, Isabel May, Sam Rechner, Celeste O’Connor and Anna Camp - It's gonna be a killer 2026!
