Downton Abbey's getting a second movie
Carson actor Jim Carter has confirmed we're getting a second Downton Abbey movie.
He shared the news in an interview with Phillip and Holly on This Morning.

As quoted by Radio Times, Carter revealed they've already read the script for the sequel.
"If you promise not to tell anyone, I’ll let you know that we’ve seen a script… The script for a second film is there."
"We’ve seen it, it’s very funny!"
He continued, "It’s got all the same characters in, all the regular characters, and I think the will is – COVID willing – we’ll film it next year."
"I don’t know if I can trust Phillip to keep this secret, but Holly, I know I can trust you!"
Phillip tried to get more details about the movie, but Carter wouldn't budge, "I’m not going to give anything away about plot lines!"

Carter played Downton Abbey’s butler on the show for all six seasons.
The series is set between the years 1912 and 1926, and it depicts the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family.
It became such a massive success that a movie was released last year.
According to IMDB, the film grossed $193,820,755 worldwide, with an estimated budget of $13,000,000.
The 10th anniversary
The story has come a long way since the series debuted in 2010.
Carter told Phillip and Holly that he finds the show's success, "amazing."

He asked, "Does it feel like 10 years? It [does] seem like an age ago."
"And I looked down on my bookshelves and I found this – a bound script of the first edition of the first script of Downton Abbey."
"And I had a little wave of nostalgia."
