Sex Education season three is finally here.
We're heading back to Moordale to see a mix of old and new faces as season three of Sex Education drops on Netflix today.
Don’t worry, we won’t spoil it for you – but if you can’t remember what happened in the last season, here’s a recap.
Otis & Ola
In season two, Otis and Ola dated for a while and even thought about having sex.
But Ola discovered she was pansexual and realised Otis was still in love with Maeve, so she ended things.
Then Otis finally told Maeve how he really felt – but in the worst way possible. He drunkenly declared his love to her at a party while saying he never wanted to be with Ola.
Of course, all their friends – including Ola – saw the whole thing.
That night, Otis lost his virginity to Ruby but the next day he couldn’t remember it.
Otis left Maeve a voicemail apologising for everything in the season finale and again confessed his love for her.
But Maeve’s new friend Isaac deleted it before she got a chance to know it existed.
Let’s see if Otis and Maeve stop the dramatics and get together this season.
Maeve
Maeve’s list of troubled relationships don’t stop at Otis.
In season two, we met Maeve’s estranged mother, Erin along with her three year old half-sister, Elsie.
Erin was a recovering drug addict and over time, Maeve began to trust her again.
But when Maeve found out Erin was using again, she decided to protect her Elsie and reported her mother to child protective services.
Let’s hope Maeve can find someone supportive to rely on in season three.
Jackson & Viv
At the start of season two, Jackson broke his hand on purpose to avoid the pressures of swimming.
He was looking for a new hobby and was cast as the lead in a school production of Romeo & Juliet.
Seeing as Viv fancied someone else, Jackson decided to help her out with her crush while she helped Jackson with the play.
But when Jackson’s hand healed and he had to go back to swimming, Viv caught him trying to break it again.
She told his mother and in the end, Jackson gave up swimming.
Aimee
After Aimee was sexually assaulted on the bus, she started to walk everywhere as a way to avoid being triggered.
She couldn’t bring herself to tell her friends what happened until they all ended up in detention together.
The group opened up and realised they’ve all experienced sexual assault.
With the support of her friends, Aimee had the courage to confront her fears and got on the bus again.
Ruby
When Otis woke up hungover next to Ruby, she let him know that they had been intimate the night before.
Neither Ruby nor Otis knew if they used protection so they went to the pharmacy for the morning after pill.
While Ruby was filling out a questionnaire to get the pill, Otis found out her father had been suffering from multiple sclerosis.
Hopefully this is a turning point for Ruby and she begins to lean on others in season three.
Eric & Adam
The last season saw Eric dating the new French transfer student, Rahmim.
But when Adam returned from military school, he and Eric grew closer until they eventually kissed.
Adam realised he was bisexual – but Eric ended things. He said he didn’t want to be with Adam if he couldn’t even hold his hand in public.
But get ready to ‘aww’ because Adam burst in to interrupt the school’s Romeo & Juliet play to ask Eric if he would hold his hand.
It was super cute to everyone – except Rahim, who was left heartbroken.
Jean
In season two, Jean broke up with Jakob – and then ran back to him when she realised it was a mistake.
But Jakob rejected her, saying he wanted a type of commitment that she wasn’t ready for.
That’s when she realised she’s pregnant – and we can already smell the drama from here.
