Simone is best known for her role as Olivia Hanan on Netflix's Sex Education.
You might recognise her as a member of The Untouchables at Moordale secondary school.
We can't wait to see her take on her new role in the reimagined world of 1880s London's high society.
Season 2
The new season will follow Jonathan Bailey's character Lord Anthony Bridgerton.
Series creator, Chris Van Dusen, told Today with Hoda & Jenna, "We left him at the end of the first season at a bit of a crossroads, so I’m looking forward to jumping in and discovering how he fares on the marriage market."
This storyline is also chronicled in The Viscount Who Loved Me, which is the second book of Julia Quinn's Bridgerton series.
Chris confirmed, "We have a bunch of new characters we are going to be introducing."
"Anthony is going to have a love interest next season, and I think it’s going to be as sweeping and moving and as beautiful as viewers of the first season have come to expect from the show."
Chris was also asked whether Phoebe Dynevor and Regé-Jean Page will return as Daphne and Simon.
He responded, "I hope so."
The creator elaborated, "They're not the Duke and Duchess of Hastings, but in my mind, they will always be Bridgertons and I think they'll always be part of the show."
Production on season two begins in spring.
Bridgerton is streaming on Netflix now.
