Sherif gives an update in new interview
Sherif Lanre was suddenly removed from the Love Island villa last Monday.
Following his abrupt exit, many fans speculated as to why he was kicked off the show
The reason was revealed over the weekend when Sherif gave an interview to The Sun on Sunday.
He explained he was asked to leave for having a, 'play fight with Molly-Mae.'
'We were throwing karate kicks at each other - fake karate kicks. One accidentally caught her in her groin very lightly,' Sherif explained.
Yesterday he gave a further update during an interview with podcast The Reality Tea.
'I don't think they told her'
Speaking to the podcast's host Sherif said, 'Everyone continued as normal,' following the fight.
'I know almost 100% that [Molly] didn’t make a complaint because she wasn’t in any pain and she wasn’t injured.'
The 20-year-old then went on to reveal that he believes Molly-Mae is totally clueless as to why he was removed from the Love Island villa.
'I don't think they told her what happened and what they deemed inappropriate,' he said.
'I think they have a duty not to tell people in there so it doesn’t mess up their head and they don’t start moving in a particular way...basically moving stiff and dead in the show.'
He continued, 'As much as there's tight regulation around the show and the contract its maybe got a bit out of hand.'
'Just even saying don’t use your home slang or don’t be yourself or mucking about its like, so what do you want me to be?'
'Obviously I regret actually kicking someone in their private area, but it was an accident and I feel like people should understand that,' Sherif finished.
