Nightride
SPIN's Sarina Bellissimo caught up with Irish actor Moe Dunford for a chat this week.
He stars in the new movie Nightride, currently streaming on Netflix.
A drug dealer attempts to go straight - by pulling off one last big job - in this immersive thriller.
Set over the course of one night in Belfast, Nightride was shot in a real-time, one-shot style, giving it a sense of urgency and immediacy.
The action, laced with dark humour, centres on Budge as he attempts to close a deal with cash borrowed from a ruthless loan shark.
Sarina's interview with Moe
The majority of the film is set in a car, so Sarina wanted to know how Moe coped with simultaneously driving and acting.
He admitted it took some time, "That question of how do you remember those lines - it did come up with this one."
"Because there was a lot of technical stuff on the radio and operating the phone calls."
Moe also spoke about his experience in the Irish entertainment industry.
He recalled a time when he was blocked from getting a role because he had already had enough success here.
"It probably meant that Ireland's such a small world that if you're on multiple things at one time, it might be tall poppy syndrome or it's time to spread your wings."
Moe then revealed it was the rejection that made him want to become an actor.
"The rejection spurs you on. At the end of the day you just thank them because no one has control over their future."
"What has happened has been so random for anyone, I just want to do the best that I can do and work with great people."
"So I thank them, but it won't stop me from working in Ireland because I love it here."
