Stephenie Meyer talks The Twilight Saga
Author of The Twilight Saga, Stephenie Meyer has revealed she has ideas for two more books.
It comes after she released the fifth installment, Midnight Sun, earlier this month.
As quoted by MailOnline, the author spoke about the franchise during a virtual Books-A-Million event last week.
She admitted, "There are two more books I think in the world that I want to write."
"I have got them outlined and a chapter written I think of the first one, so I know it's there."
"I am not ready to do that right now."
Stephenie elaborated, "I want to do something brand new."
Midnight Sun
Midnight Sun tells the story of the first book, but through the eyes of Edward Cullen rather than Bella Swan.
According to MailOnline, it sold more than one million copies in its first week.
It was published on August 4th.
Stephenie announced earlier this year that she would be releasing another Twilight book.
In a statement at the time, she said, 'I thought seriously about delaying this announcement until things were back to normal.'
'However, that felt wrong, considering how long those who are eager for this book have already waited.'
The first Twilight novel came out in 2005, followed by New Moon (2006), Eclipse (2007) and Breaking Dawn (2008).
Five major movies were born from the books, cultivating millions of fans worldwide.
Midnight Sun is out now.
