Riverdale is closing up shop
The CW have announced Riverdale will end after the upcoming seventh season.
The chairman and CEO for the network, Mark Pedowitz confirmed the news.
As quoted by Deadline, he shared his believe that, 'seven years is the right amount.'
'I am a big believer of giving series that have had a long run an appropriate send-off.'
'We had a long conversation with Roberto (show creator) yesterday and he is thrilled with the decision.'
Mark continued, 'We are going to treat the show in the manner it deserves.'
'It’s been an iconic pop culture star and we want to make sure that it goes out the right way.'
While star of the show, KJ Apa promised fans, 'we are going to end it with a bang.'
KJ is just one of many stars who shot to fame on the show, which debuted in 2017.
It also made names for Lili Reinhart and Camila Mendes.
And it brought The Suite Life of Zack & Cody's Cole Sprouse back into the limelight.
Season seven is due out early 2023.
