The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is leaving Netflix at the end of the month.

So if you've been planning to re-watch it, now would be a good time to do that.

According to the streaming service, the series is available until 31st December 2020.

The show aired from 1990 to 1996, and of course was a massive hit.

It follows the story of a young man named Will from West Philadelphia.

He gets into a fight with some peers at a basketball court.

As a result, his mother sends him to live with their upper-class relatives in Bel-Air.

The show follows Will as he struggles to relate to his wealthy aunt, uncle, and cousins.

This year, the cast reunited to celebrate the show's 30th anniversary.

They gathered at the Fresh Prince home for a HBO Max special.

Perhaps the move from Netflix has something to do with the upcoming reimagined version of the show.

Will Smith's Westbrook Studios and Universal TV are producing the new series, which was inspired by a fan-made trailer.

It follows the exact same story line as the original sitcom, but it's much darker.

Other shows

Unfortunately, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air isn't the only iconic show leaving Netflix for the new year.

The Vampire Diaries was removed November 1st.

The series ran from 2009 to 2017, and had been available on the streamer for a number of years.

Gossip Girl is also leaving Netflix January 1st.

We're guessing the move might have something to do with the upcoming HBO Max reboot.

Perhaps the original series will live there from now on?
